CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Job Duties Include but are not limited to: 

  • Design mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems that meet customer and project requirements. 
  • Develop cost-effective designs, detailed drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks PDM and IFS ERP.
  • Test and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to support production and field operations. 
  • Provide technical support to shop floor teams, suppliers, and customers. 
  • Develop and maintain standard work, SOPs, and process documentation to improve consistency and safety. 
  • Support quality control and continuous improvement efforts to enhance reliability and reduce costs. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless design-to-build transitions. 
  • Assist in equipment selection, tooling setup, and cost-optimization initiatives.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to lift to 25 lbs. without reasonable accommodation. 
  • The ability to travel up to 10% of the time. 
  • Willingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots) as required. 

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: 

  • Office/cubicle environment. 
  • Shop environment includes welding, overhead cranes, and fork trucks. 
  • Field on-track environment involving all weather conditions. 
QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent). 
  • 5+ years of experience in design/manufacturing engineering with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. 
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, with experience in PDM and ERP systems (IFS preferred). 
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic schematics, pneumatic circuits, and electrical wiring. 
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and standard work principles. 
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. 
  • Occasional domestic or international travel may be required. 
  • Knowledge of FMEA, Lean practices, Six Sigma and Value Engineering. 
  • Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and Passport and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy 
  • Ability to complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P.
