Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of sealing components, ensuring alignment with vehicle and powertrain requirements.
- Manage design release activities, including production milestones and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Provide technical guidance and resolve design issues during development and production stages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure successful integration and implementation of designs.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation and report on project status to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school or equivalent.
- Experience with sealing components and systems.
- Understanding of product development documentation such as DFMEA and DVP&R.
- Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to author system/component-level requirements.
Preferences
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in creating and executing validation plans.
- Working knowledge of CAD programs, preferably Siemens NX.
- 5 years of experience in design and manufacturing of sealing components.
