    Description

    Role Summary

    Design Release engineers to support accessory engineering delivery for the US market, with responsibility for evaluating accessory products delivered through licensing and partnership routes. The role will work across exterior accessory commodities including exterior trim, roof carrying, functional accessories, exterior protection and related product groups.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Commodity plans covering scope, requirements, timing, open points and approval route.
    • Product requirement, compliance, supplier test and certification evidence review packs.
    • Risk, validation and engineering sign-off summaries covering safety, durability, fit, function and evidence gaps.
    • Engineering release, gateway readiness and approval documentation.
    • Supplier action trackers, issue logs and escalation summaries.
    • Regular status reports covering progress, risks, dependencies, release readiness and next steps.
    • Coordination with SMEs, Chapter Leads, vehicle engineering, program, procurement, commercial and finance teams.

    Tools Knowledge

    • 3DEXPERIENCE / 3D Experience(Mandatory)
    • Digi-Buck / Vis-Mock-up review tools
    • Engineering release and change management systems
    • WERS, AIMs, RMDV, APQP and PSW processes
    • Data analysis and engineering reporting tool

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
    • Automotive component / system delivery experience.
    • Ability to review technical data, supplier test reports, certification and compliance documents.
    • Knowledge of safety, homologation and North American certification requirements.
    • Strong judgement in risk, failure mode, validation gap and sign-off assessment.
    • Ability to coordinate multiple commodities, suppliers and program priorities.

    These positions will require you to be on-site in Mahwah, New Jersey. No remote or hybrid options.
