Design Sales Consultant

We are seeking a Design Consultant to join our client's growing team and deliver an exceptional showroom experience while driving sales and building lasting relationships with clients and industry professionals.

Job Responsibilities

• The Design Consultant is curious, entrepreneurial, and driven, and should develop and maintain thorough product knowledge.
• Using product information and design knowledge, this person will highlight and explain merchandise features and benefits to clients.
• This position requires an ability to identify customer needs and problem-solve, and to understand and explain product features and benefits.
• The Design Consultant will prospect new business regularly using company programs and tools.
• The Design Consultant will help customers in a courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested manner.
• This person will have outreach and constant contact with our Trade Partners, including realtors, architects, and interior designers.
• This person will meet or exceed personal and store sales goals.
• The Design Consultant will strengthen the customer's connection to the brand and expand the client's vision by suggesting additional items based on an assessment of customer needs.
• This person should be comfortable closing sales, writing quotes, and following up with customers.
• The Design Consultant will communicate opportunities positively and promptly and enter clients' orders according to company policy and procedure.
• This person should demonstrate an enthusiasm for design.

Qualifications

• 2 years of sales experience; previous experience or education in either the luxury home furnishings industry, interior design, sales, or architecture preferred.
• Ability to use and promote sales tools to support sales (e.g., renderings).
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Retail Experience.
• Experience with a POS system and proficiency with MS Office software and web navigation.
• Attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills.
