• Develop and maintain shop drawings used for engineering, fabrication, and production
• Prepare Bills of Material (BOMs) for assemblies and sub-assemblies
• Modify and customize existing drawings to meet specific client and application requirements
• Perform mechanical, structural, and basic electrical calculations related to design preparation
• Review and process engineering orders to support manufacturing and production workflows
• Implement drawing revisions and engineering changes as directed by senior designers or application engineers
• Ensure designs meet internal engineering standards and manufacturing requirements
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure accuracy and functionality of design documentation
• Support the customization of high-voltage disconnect switch products for customer applications

Required Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks, OR a BSME / BSMET degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for mechanical design and drafting
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems and assemblies
• Experience creating detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
• Ability to prepare and manage Bills of Material (BOMs)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate engineering documentation
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams and support production requirements
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder required

Preferred Skills
• Experience designing components for power transmission equipment or electrical infrastructure
• Experience creating shop drawings for fabricated mechanical assemblies
• Familiarity with high-voltage switchgear or disconnect switch equipment
• Previous experience working in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or power industry environments
• SolidWorks certifications or internship experience using SolidWorks
• Associate degree or technical training in mechanical design or drafting
• Interest in long-term career growth within mechanical design and engineering
