Designer / Architect

About the role:

As a Designer/Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of projects across DTJ's diverse portfolio while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative and impactful environments. Based in DTJ's Austin office, you will work closely with clients, consultants, project teams, and firm leadership to guide projects from concept through documentation and implementation. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who combines strong design capabilities with technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for building client relationships. You will have the opportunity to contribute to award-winning projects, support business development efforts, and play a meaningful role in the continued growth and success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

·Lead architectural projects from concept through construction documentation and project delivery.

·Manage project teams, consultants, and project deliverables.

·Develop and coordinate drawing sets, technical documentation, and project presentations.

·Collaborate with architecture, planning, and landscape architecture teams to deliver integrated design solutions.

·Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

·Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to project team members.

Qualifications

·Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.

·10+ years of relevant professional architectural experience.

·Strong design and graphic skills.

·Experience managing projects, consultants, and project documentation.

·Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.

·Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.

·Working knowledge of building construction methods and technical detailing.

·Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·Proficiency with Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite.

·Licensed architect or actively pursuing professional licensure.

·Experience with SketchUp or other 3D modeling software preferred.

·Salary range: $110,000- $130,000 annually, based on experience
