Hunter Engineering is looking for a skilled Designer/CAD Technician to produce high-quality civil engineering and surveying plans. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and develop technical expertise in site design and plan production.Responsibilities Prepare civil engineering plans including grading, drainage, utility, and paving plansCreate survey plats, exhibits, and legal descriptionsDevelop construction details and standard sheetsProcess field survey data and prepare base mappingPerform design calculations, earthwork calculations, and quantity takeoffsCoordinate with engineers and surveyors throughout design processIncorporate redline markups and address review commentsMaintain drawing standards and template librariesAssist with 3D modeling and visualizationPerform quality control checks on drawingsRequirements High school diploma required; Associate's degree or technical certification in CAD/Drafting preferred3+ years of CAD production experience, preferably in civil engineering or surveyingAdvanced proficiency with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3DStrong understanding of civil engineering and surveying plan setsAbility to read and interpret engineering plans and specificationsExcellent attention to detail and qualityStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesGood communication skills and team-oriented mindsetPreferred Qualifications Experience with Trimble Business Center or other survey softwareFamiliarity with GIS softwareKnowledge of local agency CAD standards and requirementsUnderstanding of grading and drainage design principlesExperience with utility coordination and plan preparation#J-18808-Ljbffr
