We’re looking for an experienced Designer II to join our Education team working on various projects from K-12 to higher education in our Sacramento office.
An ideal candidate will serve as a primary technical resource to project teams, consistently apply and deepen their understanding of general concepts, standards, and team dynamics, and offer high-level technical and design documentation support. As the Designer II, you will…
- Provide BIM/Revit production support by developing and coordinating architectural drawings from sketches, verbal direction, and project documentation.
- Assist with concept and schematic design development, including massing studies, plans, sections, elevations, and detailing concepts.
- Interpret architectural drawings and construction documents, with a strong understanding of building design terminology and systems.
- Support project coordination efforts by collaborating with consultants and assisting project leads in multidisciplinary coordination.
- Contribute to construction administration activities and maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Prepare presentation and marketing materials to communicate design concepts and project intent effectively.
- Conduct project research and assist with outline specifications and technical documentation as directed.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills while delivering accurate work on schedule.
- Uphold company standards for design quality, production, and quality control throughout all phases of project work.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams and studio leadership while supporting additional project and operational tasks as needed.
The Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent with minimum 2 years architectural project experience
- Proficient with BIM/Revit software programs, MS Office Suite, Bluebeam
- Experience coordinating with consultants consistent with the scope of work, if necessary.
- Adhere to the company’s established standards for design, quality control, and production.
The Like-to-Haves - LEED accreditation
- Prior experience with Education projects (DSA experience a huge plus)
- Prior experience with Sketch-Up, Rhino, or other 3D programs

Salary Range: $70,000-$86,900 annually. Compensation and level DOE.
