The Designer is a foundational role, responsible for high‑quality design execution that fuels the agency’s ability to deliver creative work at speed and scale. This role sits at the intersection of craft and production, supporting the design team by translating creative direction into accurate, production‑ready assets across platforms.

This role is not a passive executor. This role is about learning how great work actually gets made; understanding systems, workflows, constraints, and standards -including contributing meaningfully to live client projects. The Designer helps turn creative intent into tangible output, ensuring ideas do not lose integrity during executional realities.

Reporting to the Head of Studio and working under the guidance of the Head of Design, the Designer collaborates closely with Creative Designer and Integrated Designer to support ecosystem builds, versioning, and execution across digital, social, print, and physical deliverables.

This role requires someone who is detail‑driven, adaptable, personable and calm under feedback. You will be expected to move quickly, apply direction accurately, and build fluency. The goal is not just output, but progression, developing the judgment, speed, and confidence required to grow into an Integrated Designer role over time.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Core Responsibilities:

Execute layouts, resizing, and versioning across multiple platforms

Apply brand guidelines and design systems accurately and consistently

Prepare clean, production‑ready files that meet technical requirements

Implement feedback quickly and precisely without repeated iteration

Support ecosystem builds under the direction of Integrated and Creative Designers

Collaborate with Production to ensure assets are delivered on time and to spec

Learn and adopt tools, templates, organization and workflows

Contribute to a collaborative, solutions‑oriented team culture

DEVELOPMENT

Time and support will be provided, with an expectation to continue building mastery in:

Core design fundamentals (layout, typography, hierarchy, consistency)

Platform‑specific design requirements (social, digital, print, physical)

Design systems and template‑based workflows

Production‑ready file preparation and handoff standards

Collaborative review and feedback workflows

Emerging design tools and efficiency‑driven ways of working

This role is designed as a growth pathway within the agency. Progression is driven by accuracy, speed, reliability, and developing creative judgment.

ATTENDANCE

This role operates within a hybrid model, but given the collaborative and production‑driven nature of Make+, presence matters.

  • 3 days in‑office minimum

  • When working remotely, availability for video meetings is required
    (On‑camera participation mandatory)

Visibility, communication, and responsiveness are critical to success in this role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in presentation design, graphic design, ad agency, or related fields.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility, and technical ability.

  • Keen eye for detail and proficiency in applying visual style guides across diverse assets.

  • Expertise in typography, color theory, design methods, and overall presentation aesthetics.

  • Mastery of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides. Retouching, animation, and other creative platforms are a plus.

  • Excellent professionalism, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to review designs for errors and ensure assets are correctly prepared for final output (print or digital).

WHAT YOU'LL GET:

We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive employer subsidized benefits package which includes group medical, dental and vision coverage, Health Savings Account, 401k retirement plan with annual company match, employee wellness, commuter benefits and cellular phone allowance, generous paid time off and employee volunteer day to encourage social responsibility giving time to the non-profit, community service or charity of your choice. Salary is dependent on experience but ranges from: $80,000– $90,000. All candidates must have the ability to work in the US; we are unable to sponsor any work visas for this role.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Sunday 31 May 2026. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis so early application is encouraged.
