The Desk Attendant is responsible for maintaining a secure and welcoming environment at the front desk of a dorm-style student housing community during business hours. The primary duty is to receive and manage deliveries, while also providing a consistent staff presence to deter unauthorized access and respond to basic resident inquiries or concerns as needed.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor and manage the front desk area during midday or overnight hours.
- Receive and log package and food deliveries.
- Greet visitors and ensure they are properly signed in, following community access protocols.
- Provide assistance to residents with minor questions or concerns.
- Maintain a calm, professional presence to help promote safety and order.
- Report any suspicious activity, incidents, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
What You’ll Need:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to stay alert throughout the shift.
- Ability to stay calm and respond appropriately in a quiet but occasionally urgent environment.
- Previous experience in residential, security, or front desk roles preferred but not require
