Position Overview
The Desktop Device & Engineering (DDE) Technical Staff plays a critical role in supporting the enterprise endpoint engineering ecosystem within a large-scale, fast-paced federal IT environment. Operating as a flexible engineering support resource across multiple workstreams, this role contributes to the successful delivery, sustainment, and operational readiness of enterprise endpoint technologies that support the agency's mission.

Working as part of a multi-contractor, agency-led delivery team, the DDE Technical Staff supports packaging, testing, deployment, configuration validation, and operational engineering activities across the Endpoint Engineering (EE) workflow. This role collaborates closely with endpoint engineering, infrastructure, networking, security, and operational support teams to help maintain a secure, stable, scalable, and standardized endpoint environment.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, technically versatile, and comfortable operating across multiple engineering initiatives simultaneously while supporting evolving operational priorities in a highly collaborative environment.

Role Overview
The Desktop Device & Engineering (DDE) Technical Staff supports enterprise endpoint engineering activities within a multi-contractor, agency-led delivery environment. This role contributes to packaging, testing, deployment, and operational support efforts across the Endpoint Engineering (EE) workflow while helping maintain a secure, standardized, and operationally effective endpoint environment.

Team members participate in scrum ceremonies, baseline working sessions, technical collaboration forums, deployment activities, and other engineering initiatives as needed. The role requires the ability to operate across multiple workstreams, support cross-functional engineering efforts, and adapt to evolving operational priorities within a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
Support application packaging, deployment, and endpoint engineering activities across the enterprise environment.
Assist with testing, validation, configuration management, and deployment readiness activities for endpoint configurations, applications, patches, and device-related solutions.
Participate in scrum ceremonies, working sessions, operational meetings, and technical collaboration forums.
Assist with troubleshooting endpoint-related issues and support operational sustainment and engineering activities as needed.
Coordinate with endpoint engineering, infrastructure, networking, security, and support teams to help ensure successful implementation efforts.
Support documentation efforts related to testing procedures, deployment activities, technical configurations, and operational processes.
Contribute to maintaining secure, stable, and standardized endpoint operations across the environment.
Support ongoing engineering initiatives within the Desktop Device & Engineering organization, including efforts related to Intune security policies, deployment activities, sustainment, and troubleshooting.
Function as a versatile contributor capable of adapting to shifting priorities and supporting multiple engineering workstreams as operational needs evolve.

Required Qualifications
HS diploma or GED and 13+ years of relevant professional experience or BA or BS degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline with 5+ years of relevant professional experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise IT, endpoint engineering, desktop engineering, systems administration, or related technical environments.
Experience supporting endpoint deployment, packaging, testing, or operational engineering activities in enterprise environments.
Familiarity with enterprise endpoint management technologies such as Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, JAMF, or similar platforms.
Understanding of endpoint configuration management, deployment processes, and enterprise operational support practices.
Experience working within collaborative technical teams and participating in Agile or Scrum-based delivery environments.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to support multiple concurrent initiatives within a fast-paced operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large-scale federal or enterprise IT environments.
Familiarity with endpoint security, compliance, or device management practices.
Exposure to enterprise deployment automation, scripting, or operational reporting tools.
Experience supporting cross-functional engineering or infrastructure initiatives.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, JAMF, or related certifications are preferred.
