Desktop Level 1 Technician
Location: Downtown Chicago, IL Onsite Duration: 3+ months Schedule: Full-time, onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking a customer-focused Desktop Level 1 Technician to provide day-to-day technical support in a fast-paced corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, and experience supporting Windows environments, mobile devices, and Microsoft technologies.
This is a full-time onsite engagement in downtown Chicago, expected to last 3+ months.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 1 desktop and end-user support for day-to-day technical issues.
Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve support tickets in a timely manner.
Assist users with iPhone upgrades, setup, and troubleshooting.
Support file share-to-OneDrive migrations, including user assistance and troubleshooting.
Work with Microsoft Intune to support and manage devices.
Run and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts as needed.
Support a primarily Windows 11 environment.
Assist with issues involving Windows Server 2019.
Deliver a high level of customer service and maintain positive relationships with end users.
Escalate more complex technical issues when appropriate.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a Level 1 / Desktop Support / Help Desk role.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Hands-on experience supporting Windows 11.
Familiarity with Microsoft Intune.
Basic to intermediate PowerShell experience.
Experience supporting iPhones and other end-user devices.
Familiarity with OneDrive and file migration processes.
Working knowledge of Windows Server 2019.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple support requests.
