    Description

    Position: Desktop Support Engineer

    Compensation: Pursuant to state regulations, the salary range is $56,000-$62,000 plus bonus potential. Eligible to participate in the company benefits plan.     Summary

    The Desktop Support Engineer is responsible for providing day-to-day technical assistance, hardware provisioning, and system maintenance for Cardinal communities and corporate team members. This role acts as the first line of support, ensuring a seamless operational experience by troubleshooting IT issues, tracking enterprise assets, and supporting our proprietary property management software.

    Responsibilities

    • User Assistance: Assist team members with day-to-day computer hardware and software issues to minimize operational disruptions.
    • Hands-on Setup: Handle setting up computer hardware systems, installing applications, and upgrading software in alignment with company security standards.
    • System Maintenance: Perform continuous laptop maintenance and general computer infrastructure upkeep.
    • Asset Tracking: Lead internal inventory management tracking for corporate and regional IT equipment to maintain an accurate system of record.
    • Property Support: Provide technical troubleshooting to all Cardinal housing communities to help manage operational and accounting tasks within our proprietary property management software.
    • Team Collaboration: Assist the existing Systems team with the daily operation and general maintenance of the companys broader systems environment.

    Qualifications & Core Expectations

    • Work Location: Must work entirely on-site at the Denver, CO headquarters (not remote eligible).
    • Problem Solving: Basic technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose desktop, hardware, and printer connectivity issues efficiently.
    • Customer Service: Strong communication skills with the proven ability to explain technical issues in simple, non-technical terms to property staff and team members.
    • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or customer service role (entry-level candidates with a strong technical aptitude or relevant certifications like CompTIA A+ are encouraged to apply).
