Summary:

The Desktop Support Inventory Manager provides support to the Desktop Support Team and is responsible for receiving and recording new stock as it arrives and moving stock onto our inventory rooms. This role monitors inventory stock levels and identify when replenishing stock is necessary.

Accountabilities

  • Manages and document daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory.
  • Ensures all resources are available to staff members as needed to allow them to resolve technical and hardware issues as assigned. Assures that staff appropriately handle equipment that store protected health information.
  • Manages and coordinates the acquisition and stocking of parts needed for hardware issues.
  • Creates detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels.
  • Keeps leadership informed of current activities and any major discrepancies with inventory which might affect the department.
  • Manages the ordering of new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies
  • Follows up with staff about RMA and loaned equipment.
  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Minimum Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • H.S. Diploma/GED is required (Bachelor's preferred).
  • 1+ years of Desktop support and/or inventory management experience is required.
