Position Summary

We are seeking a Workstation Specialist to provide Tier 2 desktop support for users across multiple office and field locations. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, and network connectivity while delivering excellent customer service. Frequent travel to support remote sites is required.

Job Duties

  • Provide Tier 2 desktop support for hardware, software, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Install, configure, image, and troubleshoot Windows workstations and related equipment.
  • Respond to technical support requests remotely, over the phone, and onsite.
  • Install and troubleshoot basic network connectivity, including Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and VPN connectivity.
  • Configure and support mobile devices, including iPhones and iPads.
  • Create and update support tickets and maintain accurate equipment inventory records.
  • Support workstation deployments, equipment moves, and technology refresh projects.
  • Assist users with new hardware, software, and basic technical training.
  • Document technical procedures and maintain support documentation.
  • Travel regularly to offices and field locations to perform onsite installations and technical support.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC hardware and software in an enterprise LAN/WAN environment.
  • 2+ years of experience installing and supporting laptops and docking stations.
  • 2+ years of experience installing and supporting multifunction printers.
  • 2+ years of experience using Remedy or a similar IT service management/ticketing system.
  • 2+ years of experience installing and terminating Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel regularly to support multiple office and field locations.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel outside the assigned region for training, meetings, or operational support as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience installing and supporting Cisco VPN routers.
  • Experience with Active Directory.
  • Experience with Hyena System Management Software.
  • Experience using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Experience creating technical documentation and process guides.
  • Experience coordinating or leading workstation deployment projects.
  • Experience reading and interpreting architectural or electrical drawings related to technology installations.
