Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate is responsible for providing hands-on and remote technical support for enterprise endpoints, ensuring seamless device provisioning, troubleshooting, and end-user support.

Rate Range: $26/hour to $28/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Desktop Support Specialist Job Responsibilities include:

• · Provide hands-on and remote technical support for Windows and macOS devices, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

• Configure, deploy, and manage laptops and Mac systems using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and endpoint management tools.

• Manage user accounts, access provisioning, and Group Policy administration through Active Directory and related identity management platforms.

• Utilize ServiceNow to log, prioritize, track, and resolve incidents and service requests while meeting established SLAs.

• Monitor and maintain endpoint security, compliance, and software deployments using Tanium and enterprise management tools.

• Maintain accurate asset inventory records and support device lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, repairs, replacements, and disposals.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• 2-4 years of experience in Desktop Support, End User Computing, IT Helpdesk, or Technical Support within a corporate environment.

• Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows 10/11, macOS, Dell laptops, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and endpoint management technologies.

• Proven expertise in troubleshooting hardware, software, VPN, Wi-Fi, and peripheral issues, along with experience using ServiceNow and Tanium for incident management, asset tracking, and endpoint support.

Pay Details: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
