Desktop Support Technician needed for a 1 week project onsite in Waltham, MA (2 Openings)!
Our client is looking for 2 Desktop Support Technicians for a short project in Waltham, MA. Our client is moving buildings and decommissioning 50 computers. The decommissioned machines will be refurbished with a new operating system such as Linux Mint then raffled off to employees. The Desktop Support Technicians will be responsible for the following tasks:
Install new OS on machines
Man, a help/project desk to distribute machines to designated users.
Conduct basic asset management (e.g., logging serial numbers, documenting recipients).
Provide basic end-user support to answer questions about the machines.
Timeline & Logistics
Four days will be dedicated to preparing machines; the last day will be for distribution.
Skills Needed
At least 1 year of basic HW/SW break-fix and install and imaging experience.
Must have good communication skills and be able to interact with end users in a confident and professional manner.
Must have attention to detail for asset management tasks.
