Desktop Technician IV
Location: Mineral Point, WI (Onsite) Pay Rate: $31.80/hr Experience: 3-5 Years Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on desktop, server, network, and end-user support in a manufacturing environment. This role is 100% onsite and will support multiple facilities in the region. The ideal candidate will have experience with desktop support, computer imaging, printer troubleshooting, networking fundamentals, and customer-facing technical support.
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of IT support experience
Desktop support and hardware troubleshooting experience
PC imaging and deployment experience
Printer support and troubleshooting
Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP and switching
Ability to work independently in an onsite support environment
Key Responsibilities
Configure, deploy, image, and support desktop and laptop systems
Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues
Set up and monitor servers, UPS systems, and data closet equipment
Monitor and report on server, network, and client health
Assist with server maintenance, patching, agent installation, and troubleshooting
Support network infrastructure activities including cable runs and port documentation
Maintain accurate network IDF documentation and port mappings
Escort and coordinate vendors performing maintenance activities
Collaborate with plant personnel to ensure IT best practices are followed
Provide day-to-day technical support across multiple sites as needed

Manufacturing or plant-floor IT support
Data center, IDF, or MDF support
