Overview
Duties/Responsibilities – Other duties may be assigned
- Cleaning & Washing: Operate automated aqueous washers, ultrasonic cleaners, or solvent degreasers to clean machined metal parts.
- Detailing & Deburring: Use manual tools (files, deburring tools, abrasive pads) to remove burrs, smooth edges, and remove residue from complex geometries.
- Inspection: Inspect parts for cleanliness, cosmetic defects (scratches, stains), and conformance to specifications using magnification tools.
- Part Finishing: Blend tool marks, polish surfaces, and apply rust inhibitors or coatings to finished parts.
- Documentation: Review shop travelers or blueprints for special instructions and maintain records of completed work.
- Safety & Organization: Adhere to safety procedures regarding chemical usage and PPE (masks, gloves, eye)
Job Skills:
- Requires individuals to be very detail oriented with a thorough understanding of metal working tools, both mechanical and manual
- Must be able to read and understand part drawings with special attention to surface finish requirements and edge breaks.
Desired Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent qualification required
- Quick learner
- Team player and work well with others

- Strong work ethic
- Use of orbital sanders/deburring wheels and scotch bright bits.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/or move up to 50 pounds
