Job Summary:
Mercedes-Benz of Lafayette is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury vehicles and a strong commitment to providing the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. The Detailer will play a key role in maintaining the pristine appearance of our vehicles, both for the showroom and for customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform thorough cleaning and detailing of vehicles, including washing, waxing, polishing, and vacuuming.
- Clean and shine exterior surfaces, wheels, tires, and windows to ensure a flawless finish.
- Detail interior surfaces, including upholstery, carpets, dashboard, and console, using appropriate cleaning products and techniques.
- Inspect vehicles for damage or needed repairs during the detailing process and report any findings to management.
- Apply protective coatings and treatments to enhance vehicle appearance and longevity.
- Ensure all detailing equipment and supplies are maintained in proper working order and stocked as needed.
- Collaborate with the service and sales teams to ensure timely vehicle preparation for display and delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and health regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries about services offered and vehicle care tips.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in vehicle detailing and care.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in auto detailing is a plus.
- Proven experience in vehicle detailing, preferably in a dealership setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of automotive cleaning products and techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills; ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required for the job.
