Detention Cook

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and efficient Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will prepare high-quality dishes according to our recipes, maintain a clean and organized work station, and ensure every plate meets our standards. The ideal candidate works well under pressure, follows strict food safety guidelines, and takes pride in delivering great food to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Chop vegetables, marinate meats, and prepare sauces before peak service hours.
• Line Cooking: Cook menu items according to exact recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Kitchen Safety: Maintain proper food storage temperatures, label ingredients, and rotate stock using the FIFO method.
• Sanitation: Keep the cooking line, grill, fryers, and prep tables clean and sanitized throughout the shift.
• Equipment Care: Properly operate, clean, and report any maintenance issues for kitchen machinery and tools.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Short Order Cook.
• Certification: Active Food Handler certification or ServeSafe certification is highly preferred.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of various cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and safety protocols.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a hot environment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability: Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
