Position: Metallurgical Engineer
Location: Decatur, IL
Duration: 06 Months Contract (High possibility of extension)
Job Description:
Typical task breakdown:- Part or project identification. Material management. Print interpretation. Test plan development. Nondestructive evaluation. Destructive evaluation & testing. Documentation. Communication. Work with laboratory, internal quality engineers, external suppliers & customer.
Interaction with team:
- This position will interact with several team members including the Failure Analysis team, the NDE management team, the AMT Laboratory team, the Chemical team, the Decatur quality team, external suppliers & customers.
Work environment:
Steady mix of shop, lab & office/desk work included for most of the documentation & communication.
Education & Experience Required: - Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical or Materials Science Engineering
- Preferred candidates would include 3+ years of previous experience
