Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Developer-Full Stack Senior for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate with experience designing and developing scalable backend services, integrating financial analytics platforms, and supporting fixed income applications.

Rate Range: $85/hour to $90/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer-Full Stack Senior Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot to support fixed income analytics and financial platforms.

• Integrate backend services with market data sources, risk analytics systems, and internal enterprise applications to deliver end-to-end business solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using JUnit and automated testing frameworks to ensure application quality and reliability.

• Troubleshoot defects, reduce technical debt, and implement continuous improvements to enhance system performance and scalability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across data, application, infrastructure, and business functions to deliver complex financial technology solutions.

• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical documentation, and Agile delivery processes while supporting best practices in software engineering.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong backend development expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

• Experience supporting fixed income applications or strong knowledge of fixed income concepts, including duration, convexity, spreads, and related derivatives.

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Git, JUnit, and modern software development practices within financial services environments.

Pay Details: $85.00 to $90.00 per hour
