Akkodis is seeking a Developer-Full Stack Specialist for a Contract to hire with a client in McLean, VA. Candidates must bring strong technical leadership experience in Java-based microservices, cloud-native applications, and enterprise software delivery to be considered for this position.

Rate Range: $100/hour to $110/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer-Full Stack Specialist Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead multiple Agile engineering squads in the design, development, and delivery of full-stack applications, APIs, microservices, and platform modernization initiatives.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with engineering best practices.

• Partner with Product Owners, architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to prioritize work, manage dependencies, and deliver business outcomes.

• Drive the development of Java/Spring Boot microservices, cloud-native applications, REST APIs, and modern front-end solutions using AWS, Angular/React, and CI/CD practices.

• Mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.

• Oversee production support activities, including incident management, root cause analysis, platform reliability improvements, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years of engineering leadership and people management experience.

• Proven experience leading multiple Agile teams delivering full-stack applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions.

• Strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, AWS, Angular/React, SQL, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.

Pay Details: $100.00 to $110.00 per hour
