Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system monitoring, production support, troubleshooting complex platform issues, and developing or enhancing applications within the HP NonStop environment.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on the HP NonStop (Tandem) platform using TAL, COBOL, and Unix Shell Scripting.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and provide timely resolution for critical incidents in a 24x7 support environment.

• Manage and support HP NonStop operating environments including Guardian, TACL, Pathway, Enscribe, and OSS.

• Work with SQL/MX, TMF, FUP, and SCF utilities to ensure application stability, data integrity, and optimal system performance.

• Implement and support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity processes for high-availability systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design technical solutions, perform system upgrades, and ensure reliable application delivery and support.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in HP Tandem (HP NonStop) development and support environments.

• Strong experience with HP NonStop technologies including Guardian, TACL, Pathway, Enscribe, OSS, TAL, and COBOL.

• Proficiency in Unix Shell Scripting, SQL/MX, TMF, FUP, SCF utilities, and troubleshooting high-availability production systems.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
