Title: Developer-UX User Interface Professional
Location: Fulltime onsite in Mclean, VA
Duration: 6 months possible extension

This position focuses on UI/UX development for a software application platform that produces enterprise-level financial reporting and orchestrates financial models.
The selected candidate will develop and support the front-end (presentation layer) of the application, build, test, and deploy UI components, and collaborate with other IT teams, DevOps, and REST API middleware teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly responsive, user-facing features using React.js, Redux, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into intuitive user experiences.
• Utilize design, mockup, and wireframing tools such as Figma.
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Develop flexible and well-structured front-end architecture and supporting APIs.
• Optimize existing components for maximum performance.
• Build rich visualizations capable of handling and presenting large volumes of financial data.
• Manage self-directed assignments and deliver features according to project schedules with a high level of quality.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to code reviews and UI standards.

• 3+ years of professional experience building large-scale web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and SASS.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with ReactJS and Redux.
• Thorough understanding of React.js (JSX), Redux, and their core principles.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, the JavaScript Object Model (JSOM/DOM), RESTful APIs, and related concepts.
• Proficient understanding of Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) and Single Page Applications (SPAs).
• Strong proficiency with Vite.js (or equivalent modern tooling), including configuration, optimization, and best practices.
• Strong experience with modern UI frameworks and component libraries, including:
  • Material UI (MUI) Required
  • AG Grid Required
  • Bootstrap or similar libraries Nice to Have
• Proficient understanding of React build tools and bundlers such as Webpack and Rollup.
• Experience with Storybook (UI component library/documentation tool) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Node.js.
• Experience with modern front-end build pipelines and package management tools such as NPM, Yarn, or Bower.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and error analysis.
• Experience with automated testing tools, including:
  • Unit Testing: Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library
  • End-to-End Testing: WebdriverIO, Cypress, Selenium-based technologies
• Experience with source control and versioning tools such as Git.
• Strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a collaborative, results-oriented mindset.

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Prior experience in financial services is preferred but not required.
