Description

Development AnalystThe Development Analyst will support development and investment initiatives across a diverse portfolio of projects, contributing to both project execution and investment analysis activities.Assist with the underwriting and evaluation of multifamily, build-to-rent, retail, and mixed-use development opportunities.Support projects throughout the development lifecycle, including due diligence, entitlement, design, permitting, financing, construction, lease-up, stabilization, and disposition activities.Maintain development schedules, budgets, project trackers, action-item logs, and reporting tools to ensure timely execution.Coordinate with consultants, contractors, lenders, legal counsel, government agencies, property managers, and other stakeholders throughout the development process.Perform market research, demographic analysis, comparable property studies, and feasibility assessments to support investment decisions.Assist with debt and equity capitalization efforts, including financing packages, lender requests, investor materials, and construction draw processes.Prepare investment committee presentations, development reports, financial analyses, cash flow models, and internal reporting materials for senior leadership.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.For the Development Analyst we are seeking:Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.1-3 years of professional or internship experience within real estate development, acquisitions, investments, private equity, commercial real estate, consulting, or a related field.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with an understanding of financial modeling, development budgets, discounted cash flow analysis, and real estate investment metrics.Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, research, and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to interact across internal teams and external partners.High attention to detail, accountability, initiative, and follow-through.A proactive mindset and desire to build a long-term career within real estate development and investments.Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $110,000 annually.Opportunity to join a growing and well-capitalized real estate investment and development platform.Exposure to the full development and investment lifecycle across multiple asset classes.Direct interaction with senior leadership and decision-makers.
