Description\n \nThe Development and Test Environment Lead is responsible for the design, engineering, administration, and validation of non-production environments that support application testing, infrastructure validation, cybersecurity assessments, and production release readiness for enterprise systems.\n \nLocation: Rockville, MD\n \nSalary: 128,000-178,000\n \nClearance: Secret or L Clearance\n \nResponsibilities:\n\n Engineer and maintain development and test environments supporting VMware infrastructure, database platforms, Microsoft 365 integrations, network configurations, and security tooling to ensure stable and representative testing conditions prior to production deployment\n Coordinate environment provisioning, configuration baseline management, and system refresh activities to ensure development platforms accurately reflect production architecture while maintaining appropriate segmentation and security controls\n Support application and infrastructure testing activities including patch validation, vulnerability remediation testing, configuration change validation, and rollback testing prior to Change Advisory Board approval and production release\n Integrate monitoring and logging capabilities into development environments to validate SIEM ingestion, performance tracking, and security alert accuracy before enterprise rollout\n Maintain environment documentation including architecture diagrams, configuration standards, and testing procedures to ensure audit readiness and repeatable testing processes\n Coordinate with program and release management leadership to ensure deployment packages are validated in non-production environments prior to approval for production release\n Monitor environment performance and resource utilization to ensure sufficient compute, storage, and network capacity to support concurrent testing efforts\n \nRequirements:\n \nBachelor's Degree; 8+ Years relevant experience; oversee engineering activities supporting enterprise information systems; design, integrate, and optimize hardware and software infrastructure; execute risk assessments; develop mitigation strategies; ensure systems meet stability, integrity, and performance requirements.\n \nMasters + 6yrs, or Associates +10yrs of relevant experience may be substituted.\n\n Experience designing and maintaining development, staging, and test environments that mirror production enterprise infrastructure\n Knowledge of configuration baseline management and environment segmentation practices\n Familiarity with patch validation, rollback testing, and deployment readiness processes\n Experience integrating monitoring and SIEM validation into non-production environments\n Knowledge of ServiceNow change management workflows and release validation processes\n Experience supporting infrastructure testing for VMware, database, network, M365, and cloud environments\n Preferred Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation; VMware Certified Professional (VCP)\n \nClearance:\n \nSECRET or L Clearance\n \nActioNet is a CMMI-DEV Level 4, CMMI-SVC Level 4, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, HDI-certified, woman-owned IT Solutions Provider with strong qualifications and expertise in Agile Software Engineering, Cloud Solutions, Cyber Security and IT Managed Services.
