About CommuniCare+OLE
Established in 2023, CommuniCare+OLE is the result of a union of two health centers with deep roots in their respective communities and reputations for providing high-quality primary care to all, regardless of insurance or ability to pay: OLE Health of Napa and Solano Counties and CommuniCare Health Centers of Yolo County. Building on a legacy established by both organizations in 1972, CommuniCare+OLE is a network of federally-qualified health centers with 17 sites across Napa, Solano, and Yolo Counties. It offers comprehensive care, including medical, dental, behavioral health and substance use treatment, nutrition, optometry, pharmacy, care coordination, referrals, and enrollment assistance to more than 70,000 individuals, and no one is turned away due to lack of insurance, immigration status, or ability to pay. Many services are offered outside of its sites, including mobile health, home visiting, and community and school-based programs.

JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW:
The Development Associate supports the fundraising, donor engagement, and operational functions of Communicare+OLE, with a strong emphasis on annual giving, individual donor stewardship, grassroots and digital fundraising, and data-informed development strategies.
Working closely with the Development team, the Development Associate helps execute fundraising initiatives, strengthen donor relationships, support effective communications and stewardship, and contribute to building sustainable philanthropic programs that expand access to care and promote health equity throughout our communities.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/TRAINING
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
At least 3+years of professional experience in nonprofit development, administrative support, or high-touch philanthropic and/or hospitality customer service environments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Draft, customize, and coordinate donor acknowledgments, thank-you letters, appeals, and impact communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and personalized outreach across all giving levels.
2.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date donors, gifts, and communication records within the CRM, documenting donor touchpoints and ensuring compliance with internal data standards and best practices.
3.
Implement donor recognition processes, including tracking recognition commitments, coordinating acknowledgments, and ensuring consistency across print, digital, and event-based recognition.
4.
Coordinate follow-up communications after gifts, meetings, events, and campaigns to ensure strong donor stewardship and continuity.
5.
Provide administrative and project support for annual fundraising campaigns, including Year-End Appeals and targeted giving initiatives.
6.
Build and manage donor segmentation lists for appeals and outreach, ensuring accurate targeting based on giving history, engagement, and interests.
7.
Monitor donor response rates and giving activity, identifying opportunities for renewals, upgrades, and re-engagement.
8.
Support the preparation of campaign calendars, content schedules, and internal tracking tools.
9.
Provide logistical and administrative support for fundraising and donor engagement events, including registration, RSVPs, guest lists, seating, vendor communication, timelines, and post-event follow-up.
10.
Work independently while collaborating effectively across teams, bringing a proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused approach to all responsibilities.
11.
Communicate with donors, colleagues, and community partners with professionalism, and sound judgment, while maintaining confidentiality in all donor-related and financial matters.
