PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of special synthetic projects.
Ensure projects meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Drive the development of new synthetic methods and processes.
Providetechnical guidance and support to team members.
Performs preliminary and in-process analytical work on reactions.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders toidentifyand explore new research opportunities.
Identifyand evaluate potential new project opportunities.
Analyze facts and make observations during reactionsand apply this information to resolve problemsin a timely manner.
Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
Ensure all laboratory activitiescomply withsafety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
PhDinChemistry, Chemical Engineering, ora relatedfield.A focusinsynthetic chemistry preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of chemical principles and reaction mechanisms.
Comfort and familiarity with handling air-sensitiveandpyrophoricmaterials (i.e.using Schlenk lines and glove boxes)
Knowledge of modern analytical techniques (NMR, GC, MS, HPLC, UV, IR, TGA, DSC) and instrumentation for the isolation and identification of silane or metal organic compounds.
Experience with laboratory techniques, analytical instruments, and statistical analysis.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.
Must be able to work in a chemical processing environment, including wearingappropriatepersonalprotective equipmentPPE, (at minimum safety shoesandsafetyglasses.Respirators,glovesor other PPE)asnecessary).
Must be able toliftupto50 pounds.May require occasional travel for conferences, meetings, and collaborative projects.

The salary range for this position is $90k to $140k. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
