Job Summary
Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corp (JFCAC) is seeking a Development Coordinator with strong grant writing experience to lead our funding strategy. This role is responsible for researching, writing, and managing grants that support critical community programs.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Writing & Management (Primary - 50-60%)
- Research and identify grant opportunities (public and private)
- Write and submit high-quality, competitive grant proposals
- Collaborate with program staff to develop narratives and budgets
- Track deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliance
- Maintain grant records and reporting systems
- Build relationships with funders
Community Engagement (20-25%)
- Represent JFCAC at community events and meetings
- Develop partnerships with stakeholders and funders
- Support outreach and program visibility
Communications Oversight (15-25%)
- Provide direction for marketing and messaging
- Supervise Marketing & Communications Specialist
- Ensure consistent branding and storytelling
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of grant writing experience
- Proven success securing funding
- Strong writing and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Nonprofit experience
- Communications or marketing background
- Supervisory experience
