Fit is assisting a non-profit in Mobile, AL, seeking a results-driven, relationship-focused leader to drive its fundraising and community engagement efforts. In this role, you\u2019ll lead events, secure donor support, and elevate the mission through strategic communications and media outreach.If you\u2019re a strong communicator with proven fundraising experience and a passion for making an impact, we\u2019d love to hear from you! The pay range is $70K – $80K DOE, plus benefits.ResponsibilitiesOrganize and coordinate all aspects of special fundraising eventsSolicit event sponsors and coordinate event volunteersWrite letters and proposals to request funding from individuals, corporations, and foundationsMeet with individuals, organizations, and groups to solicit financial supportProduce and distribute a quarterly newsletterCollaborate with local media to maximize publicity for the organization\u2019s mission, accomplishments, and eventsSolicit corporate and business support for special projectsAssist the Executive Director with community relations efforts, including public speaking and attending meetingsWork closely with the Board of Directors to achieve fundraising and public relations goalsQualificationsBachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 5 years of successful development-related experience (preferably in the Mobile area)Experience in private fundraising and public relationsProven ability to solicit private charitable contributionsStrong track record of working effectively with volunteers and groupsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with media is a plusPositive and optimistic attitude toward the organization\u2019s mission and development goals
