POSITION SUMMARY

Are you ready to turn data into dollars for a cause that matters? The Development Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Fundraising Managing Director and maintaining the systems and processes that drive donor engagement and philanthropic growth. As a key member of the fundraising team, the Coordinator provides essential operational, research, and stewardship support to ensure donor, grant, and fundraising activities are executed with accuracy, professionalism, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

The Development Coordinator will: 

  • Support donor cultivation and stewardship by preparing donor packets, legacy materials, and other donorfacing communications.
  • Track donor outreach and stewardship activities to ensure timely followup and accurate documentation in Salesforce.
  • Assist with cultivation activities, including scheduling, preparing materials, and coordinating followup.
  • Conduct donor, prospect, and grant research to support major gift cultivation and identify new funding opportunities.
  • Maintain grant calendars, deadlines, reporting requirements, and submission logistics.
  • Prepare Boardready donor tracker reports, including giving history and moves management updates.
  • Maintain highquality data in Salesforce and provide backup support for basic reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Support fundraising logistics, including Bill.com submissions, reimbursements, and expense reconciliation.
  • Coordinate logistics for conferences and events the Fundraising Managing Director attends, including registration, swag preparation, shipping of materials, attendee tracking, and postevent followup.
  • Uphold strict donor confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.


Qualifications

  • Minimum four years of administrative or office support experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
  • Excellent organizational and followup skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong written communication and proofreading skills. 
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or ability to learn quickly; experience with project management tools (Asana preferred). 
  • Intermediate proficiency in Office 365, OneDrive, and SharePoint. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Experience supporting fundraising or development operations strongly preferred.

Working Conditions

Enjoy a beautiful, collaborative office in a friendly environment. Work 40 hours a week, Monday–Friday, plus a onehour lunch. Businesssmart dress is required, with occasional business attire for executive meetings and special events.
