Development DirectorParent Network of WNY has a job opening for the Development Director role. The Director oversees fundraising, marketing, and public relations.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with organization leadership to create and implement a development plan to increase revenues for the organizationMonitor and evaluate all fundraising activities and events to ensure that the fundraising goals and timelines are met.Foster an understanding and culture of philanthropy within the organizationBuild relationships with community stakeholders, corporate, community and individual prospects to advance the mission and fundraising goals of the organizationOversee the administration and maintenance of the donor databaseReport on status of fundraising initiatives data, expenses and activities to meet grant and board of director reporting requirementsMarketingCoordinate the design, printing and distribution of marketing and communication materials (i.e. flyers, brochures, direct mailers, program booklets, etc.)Develop a comprehensive communication plan to promote the organization to its donors and maximize public awareness of the fundraising activities of the organizationReport on status of marketing initiatives data, expenses and activities to meet grant and board of director reporting requirementsPublic RelationsMaintain Parent Network website and social media accountsAssure that all organization events are advertisedAssure that press releases and paid advertisements are developed and distributedResponsible for creating and distributing print and electronic materialsReport on status of marketing initiatives data to meet grant reporting requirementsDevelop a comprehensive communication plan to promote the organization to its donors and maximize public awareness of the fundraising activities of the organizationEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree (BA/BS in a related discipline preferred) and three to five years of experience working in fundraising, marketing and public relations in a non‑profit organization, or similar experience required.
