Purpose of the Position
Develop and validate embedded software for current and future terminal tractors (TTs). This includes:
• Requirement definition • Building and enhancing models to accurately simulate vehicle characteristics • Validating performance and ensuring compliance with safety standards • Providing support for other related development tasks as required
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting vehicle requirements definition • Supporting vehicle system modeling and simulation • Defining test plans and completing analysis to ensure system requirements are met • Planning and performing development activities according to specified requirements and time schedules • Verification and validation of vehicle control system functions using MiL, SiL, and HiL simulation • Performing on-vehicle software testing and troubleshooting • Supporting with software development and troubleshooting as needed

Education
• Undergraduate degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science • Recent graduates and experienced engineers are encouraged to apply • Mobile equipment experience is a plus • Experience with system modeling and model-based development using MatlabSimulink is a plus • General knowledge of ISO 26262 is a plus
Competencies
• Understanding of the software development V model • Understanding of vehicle electrical system topologies preferred • Working knowledge of CAN bus including J1939 and UDS protocols • Theoretical and applied knowledge of pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems related to mobile equipment preferred • Strong aptitude for learning new software tools to complete above responsibilities • Good communication skills • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Working Together With
• Will be required to work closely with other TT Engineering personnel, Project Managers, Sourcing & Production groups worldwide.
