The mission of West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is to “Serve West Point and the Long Gray Line.” WPAOG is both the alumni association and foundation for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. Our vision is to ensure the Long Gray Line remains the most highly connected alumni body in the world. USMA is renowned as the world's preeminent leadership development institution. The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.

West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is seeking a Development Events Coordinator. This position will report directly to the Director of Development Events. The Development Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting and executing projects and events related to the areas of development stewardship, communications, and events, as well as for the Distinguished Graduate Award event and the meetings of the WPAOG Board of Directors and Advisory Council.

The incumbent will coordinate event logistical support for up to 90 special events (in person, virtual, and/or hybrid) throughout the year. Logistical support includes, but is not limited to: arranging, negotiating for, and booking event transportation; helping donors make room reservations; answering event questions sent to development events email; and creating nametags/place cards/menu cards/etc; attend site inspections, set up and break down of events. Creates event records in the database and updates donor event information within the appropriate record. Prepares all invoices and payment cover sheets for billing. Request invite lists through data services or by running exports as needed in CRM. Assists development communications, donor stewardship, and campaign logistics on projects as needed. Responsible for answering all emails sent to the development events email. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with other and numerous external agencies. Must be proficient in computer applications, and the ability to organize multiple, detail-oriented priorities. Must be available for occasional travel and work after normal business hours.

A high school diploma is required, and a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience in nonprofit organization and/or higher education is a plus.
