Summary

The Fund Development Manager (Community/Donor Engagement Fundraising) creates and implements fundraising initiatives in support of Crayons to Classrooms, with a focus on corporate partners/sponsorships, donor stewardship/cultivation, third party events and other related activities. The position works closely with and reports to the Director of Development/Executive Director. Additionally, this position works in collaboration with the Fund Development Manager (Grants/Annual

Giving Fundraising), Marketing Coordinator and Development Associate as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implement Crayons to Classrooms grants and annual fund development strategy as directed by the Development Director/Executive Director and delineated in the strategic plan approved by the board of directors:

  1. Assist Director of Development/Executive Director with strategy, program budgeting, and long-range planning.

  2. Corporate Partnerships/Sponsorships:

  • Partner with Director of Development/Executive Director to set annual fundraising goals specific to corporate fundraising efforts.
  • Research and identify potential corporate partners.
  • Support Volunteer Coordinator with recruitment and stewardship of corporate

volunteer groups.

  • Assist Operations Manager in recruitment and cultivation of Supply Drive Host/ In-Kind Donors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners.
  • Cultivate and secure corporate partnerships/sponsorships.
  1. Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
  • Create and oversee the execution of a donor stewardship and cultivation plan for individual donors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors.
  • Conduct prospect research.
  • Support the Executive Director's major gift work with top prospects.
  1. Third-Party Events and Presentations:
  • Review and approve appropriate third-party fundraising events, in collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator.
  • Manage third party event logistics, presence and calendars.
  • Schedule presentation requests and represent the organization as appropriate.
  • Analyze event results and refine strategies for future events.
  1. Other Responsibilities:
  • Guide and lead the Fundraising Committee of the Board of Directors, in collaboration with the Development Manager (Grants/Annual Gifts).
  • Plan and develop donor communications strategies in partnership with the

Development Manager (Grant/Annual Giving).

  • Provide support for in-store events and other activities, as needed.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required with studies in marketing, fundraising and development, or nonprofit business administration desired plus at least three (3) years related job experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience Requirements

The position requires three to five years' experience commensurate with job responsibilities.

Performance Standards - Evaluation/Review Process

The success of the Fund Development Manager (Community/Donor Engagement Fundraising) will be judged annually against the following performance standards:

  1. Reaching or exceeding the established fundraising goals agreed upon with the Director of Development/Executive Director.

  2. Reaching other specific performance goals negotiated with the Director of

Development/Executive Director on an annual basis.

The effectiveness of the Fund Development Manager (Community/Donor Engagement Fundraising) will be evaluated annually by the Director of Development/Executive Director. Decisions on the salary level

for the position, and bonuses for reaching performance goals are determined annually.
