About the Position

The Development Operations Assistant is a key staff position within the Development Department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of donations and donor acknowledgments, as well as assisting with database management, and other Development projects as needed. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Commitment to POTS: Belief in the programs and mission of the organization.   A passion for assisting low-income individuals stabilize their lives by meeting their most immediate and basic needs and then assisting individuals in taking the next steps in their journey towards even greater stability and self-sufficiency.  Commitment to the core values of the organization. 
  • Donations Processing and Acknowledgement Letter: Accurately process and record donations from multiple platforms (paper checks, FundraiseUp, PayPal, Benevity, Stripe, and more) into Salesforce in a timely manner, and prepare and mail weekly donor acknowledgment letters.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in Salesforce, including gift coding, contact details, duplicate merging, and in-kind donation tracking.
  • General Department and Special Event Administration Support: Provide broad administrative support to the Development Department, including grant and donor research, email platform management, seasonal appeal mailings, and event data entry and RSVP tracking.

 

Required Skills

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with Salesforce or other CRM software 

     

In-Office Requirement 
Two in-office days (Wednesday and Thursday) are required. Thursday is designated for check processing and acknowledgment execution.
