Essential Responsibilities:
The Development Specialist supports Bay Area Community Health's (BACH) Development Department by researching opportunities, writing and submitting program related grants and reports, and maintaining the grants database. Under the general supervision of the Fund Development Manager, the Development Specialist will focus their efforts on researching and writing corporate, foundation and government grant proposals, maintaining the grants reporting calendar, writing and submitting grant reports, assisting with post-award grants compliance and administration, updating and maintaining the grants database, and generating departmental reports. The Grant Writer will: complete donor research to identify prospective government, foundation and corporate grant funding opportunities; maintain a comprehensive and updated inventory on all grants submitted; and may be asked to assist Development staff in other fundraising activities, such as events and individual donor activation.
