  1. Position Purpose

To support, coordinate, organize, promote and help with duties related to STARS programs and fundraising.

  1. Essential Functions - Specific Job Responsibilities

The Fundraising & Events Intern will play a key role in supporting our largest annual fundraising event while also assisting with general development and organizational functions. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising, event planning, donor engagement, and day-to-day operations. This position supports all areas in the following ways:

  • Assist with fundraising, volunteer and staff appreciation events (setup, guest registration, auction support, hospitality).
  • Support administrative projects (mailings, data entry, material preparation).
  • Help organize and distribute educational materials.
  • Provide logistical support for community outreach initiatives
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding students, families, staff, donors, and partners.
  • Follow all organizational policies, including safety and school-site protocols.
  • Conduct oneself with respect, integrity, and cultural sensitivity.
