Position Overview

\n

We are seeking a thoughtful, enthusiastic Developmental Interventionist to support peer group programs for youth ages 3–21, with a focus on our largest population of teens aged 13–18. This entry-level role provides an exciting opportunity to help participants grow in areas of creativity, self-expression, independence, and community-building, especially through engaging group sessions.

As a Developmental Interventionist, you will work alongside experienced clinicians to facilitate group programming that supports social-emotional development and fosters authentic peer relationships. This is a great fit for someone interested in neurodiversity-affirming care, adolescent development, and creative, strengths-based approaches.

\n

Note: Pay is not dependent on billable hours. Additional stipends may be possible for work during evening hours (after 6 PM) and Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and group support to youth, with an emphasis on teen group facilitation.
• \n
• Help participants connect with others and express themselves through play, projects, and discussion.
• \n
• Assist with group planning and implementation that reflects participants’ interests, developmental levels, and communication styles.
• \n
• Build strong, respectful relationships with participants and their families.
• \n
• Support safe, inclusive environments where every participant feels seen, valued, and empowered.
• \n
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training to reflect and grow in your practice.
• \n
• Maintain consistent and accurate session documentation in a timely manner.
• \n

Qualifications

\n

• \n
• Bachelor’s degree required, in a related field preferred (e.g., Child Development, Psychology, Education, Social Work).
• \n
• Experience working with youth and/or individuals with developmental differences is highly preferred.
• \n
• A flexible, collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
• \n
• Commitment to PCDA’s values of inclusion, family partnership, and relationship-based care.
• \n
• Availability for weekday afternoon/evening and some Saturday hours.
• \n
• Must complete background check and required health screenings.
• \n
