We are seeking a psychologist specialized in Developmental Pediatrics to join our team at The Children's Hospital.
Overview
A Developmental Pediatrics Psychologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats children and adolescents with developmental, behavioral, and psychological challenges, working collaboratively with medical teams and families to support each child''s growth and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and developmental assessments for children with conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, and developmental delays.
- Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans addressing cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and social development.
- Provide evidence-based therapy and interventions to children and their families.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, neurologists, educators, and therapists as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
- Consult with schools and community agencies to support children''s educational and social needs.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide guidance and psychoeducation to parents and caregivers.
As a state-designated children's hospital, we offer many specialty services for children. We care for high-risk babies and seriously ill children in our Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatric Intensive Care units. Our Child Life Program helps to educate and prepare children for their stay at Saint Peters, while our Pediatric Emergency Department can handle any injury or illness a child may have. At The Children's Hospital at Saint Peters, we care for 9,000 inpatients and over 45,000 outpatients each year in our facilities and the Dorothy B. Hersh Pediatric Emergency Department.
