Developmental Services Educator Contract - 233819._

Assist in the implementation of an early intervention program for infants and toddlers; birth to age 3 who have a developmental delay, atypical developmental, and /or a diagnosed condition with high probability of resulting in a delay, as well as their families. Provide Developmental Services to those enrolled in the Part C Early Intervention Services in the city of Martinsville & the counties of Henry, Franklin & Patrick. Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, special education, a human services related field or any discipline or profession listed under Part C Personnel Standards; or a Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice in Virginia. Prefer at least one year experience working with children under the age of three with intellectual disabilities or developmental delays & implementing multidisciplinary service plans. Requires excellent communication skills and experience working pleasantly and cooperatively with a wide variety of people. Position also entails home visits & a valid driver's license is required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience as it relates to the position.Must be willing to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening as part of the application process.
