Role summary: The (USA) Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R, supports the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across multiple facilities. This role involves completing required documentation, assisting with capital expenditure planning, and performing preventive maintenance and repairs under supervision. The technician collaborates with management and business partners to identify priorities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Emphasizing continuous improvement, this position contributes to cost control and operational efficiency while adapting to evolving challenges and supporting team objectives. About the team: The team ensures efficient facility operations by performing preventive and reactive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems. They conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs while adhering to safety and environmental standards. Collaborating with suppliers and contractors, the team continuously enhances maintenance processes and integrates innovative tools to optimize system performance. Their dedication supports operational excellence and maintains quality standards, fostering a reliable and well-maintained environment that upholds safety and functionality for all stakeholders. What you'll do:

• Complete and submit required documentation such as expense vouchers, refrigerant logs, and work orders to senior leadership.
• Assist in gathering capital expenditure lists and develop scopes of work for HVAC/R and energy management system updates.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R equipment under supervision, following established policies and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with management, coworkers, and business partners to identify priorities, communicate progress, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines while maintaining company vehicles and coordinating necessary maintenance.
• Support cost control by conducting price comparisons and submitting warranty claims.

What you'll bring:

• Experience performing HVAC/R preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Ability to develop scopes of work for HVAC/R and energy management system updates.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations related to HVAC/R safety and compliance.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with management, coworkers, and business partners.
• Proficiency in completing and submitting required documentation accurately and timely.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.

• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
