Database Activity Monitoring Engineer

Our team focuses on Database Activity Monitoring for our most critical database platforms. We architect, design, deploy, administer, support, and maintain global deployments of database activity monitoring capabilities. We have strong technical backgrounds, the ability to troubleshoot complex problems, innovative thinking, excellent communication, and a willingness to drive customer satisfaction directly with end users.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
  • Experience talking to product teams, collecting business requirements, and converting them into system requirements
  • Experience designing and building products or in-house solutions from the ground up
  • Technical skills (e.g., SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Java, or Python)
  • Demonstrated ability in a cloud DevOps role; cloud architecture and solutions experience required
  • CI/CD pipeline automation and orchestration utilizing GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins Core, as well as scripting knowledge (Python, Shell) required
  • Experience working with cloud computing technologies (MS Azure/AWS) required
  • Experience in cybersecurity database activity logging and monitoring
  • Experience with AWS CloudWatch
  • Nice to have: experience with Guardium, jSonar, and Splunk
  • Experience working with global teams across different time zones
  • AWS or Azure certification preferred
  • Experience working with Agile Scrum methodology

The Skills You Bring

  • Strong knowledge of supporting operating systems (Linux and Windows) from an engineering standpoint
  • Strong knowledge of cloud, on-premises, and hybrid application deployment models
  • Experience with ITIL or another IT service management framework
  • Excellent system analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Experience troubleshooting difficult technical problems
  • Strong knowledge in engineering phased/layered test approaches
  • Experience working in financial services industries
