About the role
A corporate software development team is looking for a DevOps Engineer to build the pipelines and automation that let the team ship software reliably. You’ll own CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and deployment processes, and work with developers, QA and security to build quality and security into every release.
We’re hiring at junior, mid and senior levels. Pay and scope depend on experience.
What you’ll do
Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation for repeatable environment setup
Automate operational tasks and deployment workflows through scripting
Manage source control workflows, branching strategies and release processes with development teams
Set up monitoring, logging and alerting; troubleshoot build, deployment and environment issues
Work with developers, QA and security teams to build security and quality into the pipeline
Support releases and incident response; maintain documentation and runbooks
Improve the reliability, performance and cost of development and production environments
What you need
Experience with CI/CD tooling, infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation
CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins
Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep or Ansible
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash or Python
Git and branching strategies
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
Understanding of networking, security and monitoring fundamentals
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
Strong communication skills
Preferred background
DevOps experience within software engineering teams
Otherwise, DevOps experience at a technology company or in a regulated industry
Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
DevOps or cloud certification, such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
Observability and monitoring platforms
Experience supporting regulated environments
Nice to have
Azure services such as AKS, App Service, Azure Monitor and Key Vault
Monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus or Datadog
Security scanning in pipelines, such as SonarQube or Microsoft Defender for DevOps
Secrets and configuration management
Helm or GitOps tools such as Argo CD
Experience levels
Junior (0–4 years): maintains pipelines and scripts with guidance, using established patterns and tools
Mid (4–8 years): builds and improves pipelines and infrastructure automation independently and may guide junior staff
Senior (8+ years): designs the CI/CD and infrastructure approach, sets standards, mentors others and works directly with stakeholders
Work environment
Able to safely lift up to 25 lbs and use stairs
Travel: 0–5%
