Computer Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our Client's dynamic team.
Job at a glance:
This is a long-term contract, with an initial duration of 6 months, planned for extension with potential for permanent placement
Pay rate is $45-$50/hr W2 + eligible to sign up for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k) on day 1
This is a hybrid position in Columbia, SC with onsite requirements for Tuesday through Thursday
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of pipeline toolsets such as Artifactory, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitHub, SonarQube, and DevOps Deploy.
Job Description: We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Client's Monitoring, Observability, & Pipeline team.
The Team:
Monitoring, Observability, & Pipeline. We are a 15-person, diverse team with a strong culture of supporting each other. We do not say “that’s not my job” and will swarm problems to ensure success. We’re often the team tagged to try new things first, so flexibility is important.
Day To Day:
This role supports and enhances the tools that make up our development pipeline, so candidates should be comfortable not only writing scripts, building test code, and integrating automation, but also owning, administering, troubleshooting, and supporting the platforms the team manages.
Having experience with more than one language is a big plus.
Experience working with and integrating external APIs (particularly HTTP restful APIs) a big plus
Containerization experience a plus (OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker)
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree-in CS, IT or other job-related degree. Degree Equivalency: 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an AS degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree
Required Work Experience:
4 years-of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
