The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure while developing automation solutions that support software deployment, system administration, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. The role works closely with development teams to automate infrastructure, improve operational efficiency, and maintain secure, scalable cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage hyperconverged cloud infrastructure.
Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
Collaborate with software development teams to automate deployment processes.
Design and implement automation solutions using Bash, Python, PowerShell, and Ansible.
Test and validate automation solutions to ensure reliability and performance.
Monitor infrastructure and track the impact of maintenance, patching, and system changes.
Manage virtualization platforms and cloud infrastructure.
Administer Linux and Windows Server environments.
Implement configuration management using Ansible.
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and infrastructure automation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II (or higher) certification.
Experience with VMware, Nutanix, or Red Hat OpenStack.
Experience administering Linux and Windows Server environments.
Proficiency with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible scripting.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience implementing configuration management using Ansible.
Experience with Active Directory and Nutanix cloud platforms.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Scrum Master certification is a plus.
