DevOps EngineerLocation: Dayton, OH Eligibility: Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI and be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph clearanceWe are seeking an experienced TS/SCI cleared DevOps Engineer that has exceptional experience in Python and AWS to support a large R&D program that is focused on providing advanced intelligence capabilities for the benefit of the DoD and IC communities. The right candidate will have deep hands-on expertise with microservices / container architectures (e.g. Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes), and should have experience with configuration/management tools such as Gitlab. You will support a very high visibility project and be part of a mid-sized team where you will work with application development teams across the software development life cycle, creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment.Responsibilities:Designing and implementing AWS Cloud-based hosting solutions, as well as Cloudbased backup and recovery, including failover zones.Executing AWS billing and accounting best practices to minimize oversubscription of AWS cloud environment servicesTroubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues for CI/CD pipeline failures or slownessDeveloping tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environmentsPerforming automated testing, automated deployments (CI/CD pipelines), and branching strategy and implementation.Required Must Have Skills:Hands-on experience with microservices / container architectures (e.g. Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes) orchestration and automationKubernetes skills required: ArgoCD, Helm, PrometheusExperience with configuration/management tools such as GitlabStrong python scripting/programming skillsExperience developing enterprise AWS cloud-native solutionsExperience hosting applications on commercial cloud providersExperience with Jenkins, GitLab runners, GitHub actions, Terraform, Terragrunt, and PulumiTS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraphBachelor's degree in CS or Computer EngineeringDesired/Bonus Skills:Experience managing and maintaining ElasticSearch and KibanaGrafana experienceGolang experienceExperience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacksExperience creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on KubernetesExperience triaging and resolving issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environmentsExperience bringing other organizations on board with DevOps, championing the adoption of DevOps processes, tools, and roles, and working with other development teams to recast workMaster's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldNGA or IC Domain ExperienceQualifications (education/experience substitutions are allowed):Mid-level candidates must have a B.A./B.S. and 4 years of experienceSenior level candidates must have a B.A./B.S. and 10 years of experienceSME level candidates must have a M.A./M.S. and 18 years of experience
