DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote | U.S.-based

We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on Kubernetes experience to help build, manage, and improve the infrastructure supporting Pavilion's technology platforms.

This role goes beyond working with Kubernetes—we're looking for someone who has experience building, administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production environments. You'll work closely with Product Development and IT to improve deployment processes, platform reliability, automation, and the infrastructure supporting our applications.

What You'll Do

• Build, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Support GitOps-based deployment and infrastructure practices
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application deployment, networking, and platform issues
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure and supporting services
• Automate repeatable infrastructure and operational processes
• Partner with Product Development and IT teams on platform enhancements, deployments, and technical initiatives
• Help improve the reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency of Pavilion's environments

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a similar infrastructure-focused role
• Significant hands-on experience building, administering, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, operations, and troubleshooting
• Experience designing, building, or maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with GitOps principles and deployment workflows
• Strong Linux and scripting experience
• Experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently investigate complex infrastructure and deployment issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes networking, configuration management, and secrets management
• Experience with Helm and other Kubernetes deployment/configuration tooling
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud networking
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and modern infrastructure automation practices
• Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, or other relevant cloud/infrastructure certifications
• Experience supporting databases or other stateful workloads within Kubernetes
• Experience in FinTech, payments, gaming, or another highly regulated technology environment
